We are proud to announce the forthcoming publication of No Struggle, No Progress, a powerful collection that captures the voices, experiences, struggles, accomplishments, and hopes of Black and Brown students in higher education.
Rooted in the historic mission and legacy of the NOAH Program at Hofstra University, this book reminds us that education is not simply about earning a degree—it is also about struggle, resistance, community, perseverance, and creating opportunities for the next generations to follow.
Through personal stories and reflections, the book documents a living history of students who confronted barriers and transformed their challenges into opportunities for growth and leadership.
As Frederick Douglass reminded us:
“If there is no struggle, there is no progress.”
No Struggle, No Progress honors that tradition and celebrates the continuing journey of NOAH students and the broader struggle for educational justice.
